Elm Education ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This website collects as little personal data as possible: it sets no cookies, carries no advertising trackers, and does not follow you around the internet. The only personal data we collect is what you choose to send us in the contact form.
Elm Education is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@elmeducation.org.
Registered company name: Elm Education Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14838329. Registered address: Wokingham, United Kingdom.
When you complete the contact or enquiry form on this site, we collect the information you enter: your first name, last name (optional), email address, school or organisation (optional), and your message.
We use this solely to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to set up your access to our products. We do not use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we never sell it or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you have chosen to send us — and, where you are enquiring about buying, taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
This site sets no cookies. We do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across other websites, and we cannot identify you from browsing alone.
We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is being used — how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are. We chose it specifically because it is privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, uses no device fingerprinting, and does not follow visitors across other sites. It reports totals and trends, not individuals, and we cannot use it to identify you.
As with any website, our hosting provider processes technical information — such as your IP address and browser type — as a necessary part of delivering the pages to you and keeping the service secure.
We keep these to a minimum. They are:
If you go on to use Learnalyze, that is a separate application with its own privacy policy and its own handling of school and lesson data — see learnalyze.net.
Some of the providers above operate globally and may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business records afterwards. If you become a customer, we keep records for as long as we are required to for contractual, tax and accounting purposes. If you ask us to delete your enquiry and we have no reason to keep it, we will.
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected if it is wrong; to have it deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; and to receive it in a portable format. You can exercise any of these by emailing hello@elmeducation.org. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority.
This website is aimed at teachers, school leaders and education organisations, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this site.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
